New 3D printers: US dates and prices on the record
United StatesA 3D printer is often announced months before it ships to the US, and the US price can differ from the launch price and change later. We record each new printer's announcement date, US shipping date, US price on the brand's own store, and the key specifications from the brand's spec page.
What we record
- Announcement date and US shipping date, kept apart when they differ.
- US list price and any launch or early-bird price, read from the brand's own US store.
- Key specifications from the official spec page: printer type, build volume, materials.
- Price changes and surcharges after launch, with the date of each change.
- The date we checked each figure, and a link to the source.
How we work
We read the brand's own US store, press releases and specification pages. We do not test printers and we do not rate print quality; we record what each brand states, and when. Prices change often, so every table carries the date it was checked.
Every page carries the date it was last checked, so you can judge how current it is. Read more about our approach on the about page.
